Text Box: CONTEX INTRODUCES THE NEW PUMA HS 36 WIDE FORMAT COLOUR SCANNER WITH IJET TECHNOLOGY! The PUMA HS 36—Fast, Sleek, Powerful, Technologically Superior—At a Tame Price! Imaging Innovations, sole distributors in Sub-Saharan Africa for Contex Scanning Technology, have announced the newest introduction to the Contex family of large-format scanners—the PUMA HS 36 Colour Scanner (PUMA). This tri-camera 600dpi optical scanner is a clean-sheet design, providing fast high quality scanning and copying for users at up to 3”/sec full colour and 12”/sec monochrome scanning speeds with software enhancements to 1200 and 9600 dpi. The PUMA features the latest development in scanning technology—iJET Technology. The new iJET Panel on the scanner contains an ‘easy to use’ menu system that enables set-up and activation of full scan-to-print and scan-to-file options directly from the panel. Using the operator panel buttons and the standard Ethernet interface, the PUMA can be used for scanning to file, or to the users network, or to the web, or copying and e-mailing the originals automatically. The PUMA scanner also lets you connect directly to your PC by also offering high speed USB 2 as standard. Additional patented technology included with the scanner is Contex’s Accuracy Lens Enhancement Technology (ALE), All-Wheel drive for smoothly feeding different types of originals, and Automatic Thickness Adjustment Control (ATAC) for thicker originals (up to 15mm or .6” thick). It features a full 36”/914mm width imaging area, and efficiently handles all types of documents including large colour posters, architectural drawings, detailed maps, and fine art. The PUMA captures 48 bit colour data for maximum colour recognition, outputting the best 24 bits to ensure true colour fidelity. Using an All-Digital camera and on-board digital conversion ensures, the PUMA contains advanced technology for colour and monochrome image enhancement, providing vivid and clean results from even the most difficult originals. “ The PUMA scanner delivers maximum Colour and B/W scanning speed, at a competitive price point for its class, that can’t be beat!
